Policies & Procedures

There are some basic Policies & Procedures that every employer must have in place to be compliant with employment legislation.

Health & Safety is the one most employers are aware of, but not every employer has a Workplace Bullying & Harassment Policy prominently displayed and accessible to employees. Nor do all employers notify employees’ of their right to access a PRSA (personal retirement saving account) facilitated, not funded, by the employer. The type of business or organisation will determine the types or relevant policies needed.

Policies & Procedures should never be viewed as simply a box ticking exercise. Designed and Implemented correctly they bring clarity to both the employer and employee of what exactly is expected and acceptable from both perspectives.
